Our environment

Cascadas de Segade

It is worth visiting. Leaving Caldas, we cross the garden, the carballeira and we enter in a pleasant walk that runs next to the River Umia, along this walk we can appreciate numerous mills, some of them restored.

The Fervenzas de Segade are a group of waterfalls, which offer a spectacular waterfall, which has given rise to the formation of pools used by many bathers. Next to them we find the ruins of the factory of the light (hydroelectric power station built in 1900) and a viewpoint conditioned to admire the beauty of this natural environment.

Barosa Natural Park

Located in the municipality of Barro this beautiful waterfall, where the Barosa River saves almost 60 meters in a short distance, has a series of 17 water mills arranged along the waterfalls forming a unique complex.

The area is equipped as a recreational area, with tables, fountains, barbecues and even toilets. All this makes it very crowded in the summer and suitable for bathing.

The Camino de Santiago passes just a few meters from here, this allows many pilgrims to come and visit this place.
